Doug Spinler

 Doug started at the age of 13 playing guitar with his dad in Coggon with the Blue Denim band. In 1974 Doug went with Molly Darlin to Nashville for 2 weeks. In 1976 Doug took 3rd place in his high school variety show. El Don and the Country Crusaders. Heartland Express was his musical home from 1984 to Jan 1986. Doug played with  Panhandle Country from  March  to July of 1986. In July 1986 he became part of the Airwave where he remained until April '91, In Jan 1999 Doug joined Mike in the Daybreak band. This ended in 2002 when he went into retirement. But this was not the end. He returned to the scene in 2004 as 1 of the founding members of the band now known as 5 of Hearts. Over the years Doug has had the opportunity to open for Mel McDaniel,  Eddie Rabbit, Sawyer Brown and the Bellamy Brothers.
